Looking for help to…

Plan and shape a project?
Get the words right for your audience?
Make sense of funding criteria?
Put together a submission that stands out?

Getting your ideas heard, understood and supported, depends on how well they’re communicated.

Whether it’s a short pitch, a grant or project proposal, or a detailed tender application, words matter

I help artists and community organisations to develop and communicate their plans and projects.
If this is what you’re after, I would love to hear from you.

About

My expertise has been gained through education in arts, social work, women’s studies and visual arts, and a career in community, non-government and government settings.

This has spanned social research, community development, community education, consultation, evaluation, program and policy development, and professional and community arts.

I have worked with people and communities in all sorts of places – artist-run initiatives, health services, neighbourhood centres, housing services, mental health and disability services, hospitals, social policy and research organisations and women’s services.

Project planning and writing have been a huge part of this work.

“Kir’s varied experience means she is quickly able to understand the essence of any new project and to develop effective working relationships with new colleagues. She can assist groups to succinctly analyse their key issues. Her written and spoken communications are clear and of a high quality”.
Dr Chris Fyffe, consultant

“Kir provided us with excellent support in engaging with a range of stakeholders, managing complex ideas and pulling them into a shape that was much more useable for our audiences. Kir’s writing and interpersonal skills were exemplary, and the project outcomes were of high quality and delivered on time. I would re-engage her again without hesitation”.
Tom Worsnop – Executive Manager, The Summer Foundation

“Working with Kir Larwill was a terrific experience. I asked her to edit and proof read three major pieces of writing. She approached this work with warmth, intelligence and integrity accompanied by a strong understanding of what was required. The end result was excellent and I highly recommend her skills and approach”
